I’m looking for this horse. Please help.
Meet APHA registered “Iron Speckles,” also known as “Freckles” or “Lakota.” Wherever he is now, his registered owner hasn’t been changed from the last owner I know of. He would be 9 this year.
I live in Missouri. He was bought by a woman in approximately ‘08 or ‘09 for her and her daughter to ride. After that, he was too much horse for her, and he was donated to the Good Samaritan Boys Ranch in Missouri. That was in ‘09 or ‘10 (still working on getting exact dates). Within 9 or 10 months of being there, they had already sold him. We don’t know why he didn’t work out for them, but they refused to give right of first refusal and wouldn’t tell the original owner where they had sold him to. I’ve recently contacted them. Most of their horses go through the sale barn in Bolivar, Missouri. I don’t have exact information on him yet, but it’s most likely that that’s where he went as well. I’ve left a voice mail with them, but until the boys ranch or sale barn call me back, that’s where our trail ends.
His previous owner and I have both been worried about him for some time and have decided there has to be a way to find him and find out if he’s okay… so we’re going to try. I’m also spreading the word on Facebook and all of our local Craigslists, but I’ve seen Tumblr do some amazing things. (I am prepared for the best or worst possibilities upon finding him… Please tell me anything you know about it, be it good or bad.
Please send me a message if you have any knowledge about him or where he might be or might have been in the past. Any ideas on how to track him down would be appreciated. Please spread this around and help me find him.
Defining features: Star on face, large diamond snip on nose. Small spots on all four legs and right shoulder. “Arrow” like white shape in the bay patch on his left side. See pictures attached of him as a five year old.
I’ll be posting updates and further information as I have it. Please reblog and help me out. I loved this horse and I just need to know.
I’m going to reblog this till you find this horse
God, I started crying when I read your reblog, thank you so much. <3
